this is the collective energy i am picking up today. none of this is being presented as fact, prophecy, or a definitive message about any one person. some of it may resonate, all of it may resonate, or none of it may resonate. the point is not for me to tell anyone what to think. i am offering ways we can look at the words, colors, numbers, cards, drawings, placement, synchronicities, and relationships between them so that people can practice recognizing and interpreting energy for themselves. see the full reading disclaimer and reminder below.
ears, saturn, and listening
one of the words that came through is ears, along with saturn. ears can represent listening and hearing, but signs and symbolism should not have one fixed interpretation. for one person, ears may connect directly to their physical ears. somebody dealing with an earache, pressure, ringing, unusual sensitivity, or another issue with their hearing may suddenly pay closer attention when they see that word. for someone else, ears may connect to clairaudience, music, overheard conversations, something somebody said, or simply noticing what they have been listening to.
a thousand people can hear the same word and have it touch a thousand different pieces of their lives. this is part of learning how to read energy. practice noticing what a word or symbol brings up for you in your body, emotionally, or as a memory before deciding what it means.
saturn can represent weight, discipline, maturity, boundaries, time, structure, responsibility, limitation, and consequence. with ears also present in the reading, one way we can look at the combination today is through disciplined listening. for some, that may connect with hearing too many opinions. for someone else, it may connect with questioning their own perception because they have been looking outside themselves for confirmation. someone else may notice a song, sentence, conversation, or repeated sound that connects immediately with something already happening in their life.
the central written question is “is it important? yes or no.” that gives us another way to work with the energy. rather than assuming everything we notice deserves equal attention, we can practice asking whether something feels relevant to us today.
the yes side: hunger, rivers, ancestry
under yes are hunger, rivers, and ancestry.
hunger can represent desire, appetite, need, deprivation, life force, longing, dissatisfaction, or something asking to be fed. sometimes hunger can tell us that something is missing, that something wants to grow, or that an appetite has become strong enough to be noticed.
somebody may immediately think about physical hunger. somebody else may think about money, creativity, intimacy, travel, learning, freedom, attention, or a part of themselves they have not been feeding. again, practice noticing what the word brings up in the body, emotionally, or as a memory.
then there is rivers. rivers can represent flow, movement, emotion, continuity, direction, source, geography, travel, memory, or simply water itself. a river begins somewhere and passes through different terrain, which gives us one possible way to think about whatever is currently moving through our lives.
then there is ancestry. that can mean family lineage and ancestors, but it can also represent inheritance, history, memory, culture, habits, gifts, survival strategies, unfinished work, knowledge, traditions, and patterns that were already moving before we arrived.
when we place hunger, rivers, and ancestry beside one another, one possible line of inquiry becomes: where did this hunger come from, and what has been carrying it? for one person, that may immediately connect to family. another may think about a creative pattern that has followed them for decades. another may connect it to culture, migration, money, relationships, food, spirituality, or something they cannot yet name.
there is also a large intuitive design surrounding the cards and words. when i look at the image, part of it can resemble a tree, but i did not intentionally sit down and draw a tree. someone else may see an opening, a portal, roots, branches, movement, or something completely different. look at the image for yourself and ask: what does the design encapsulating the spread represent to you?
the no side: rivers and riding the wave
under no are three cards. the 8 of diamonds carries “ride the wave.” the ace of spades carries “find a real magician with evidence.” the 3 of diamonds carries “go outside.”
the contrast between rivers under yes and ride the wave under no gives us several possible ways to work with water symbolism today. both involve movement and flow. water can also represent emotion, intuition, adaptability, cleansing, memory, and many other things depending on the person and the context.
one way to look at the contrast, especially with saturn also present, is that movement is not always the same thing as direction. another person may connect the water imagery primarily with emotions or with how easily they have been moving through something. someone else may think about an actual river, ocean, trip, place, or memory.
the 8 of diamonds can also bring in material concerns, resources, value, exchange, work, money, repetition, momentum, or accumulated force.
because “ride the wave” appears under no today, one way to interpret the energy is that jumping onto whatever currently has momentum may not be supported for someone receiving this reading. tomorrow, or even later today, that energy could look completely different. i often encourage people to ride the wave when that is what the energy supports. today, this particular spread places it under no.
find a real magician with evidence
the ace of spades carries “find a real magician with evidence.”
evidence matters. discernment matters. there will always be another reader, teacher, expert, practitioner, or person with an explanation.
with this phrase falling under no today, one way we can interpret it is as less emphasis on external seeking and more attention to what is being perceived internally.
for someone who has already been wondering whether they are relying too heavily on other people to interpret what they are feeling, this may resonate immediately. for someone else, the word magician may trigger an entirely different association. the ace of spades can also represent truth, clarity, discernment, decisions, beginnings, or cutting through something, depending on what connects for the person receiving it.
there is always another person available to provide another interpretation. at some point, constantly seeking another answer can become a form of avoidance. part of strengthening intuition is learning to notice when we already have information coming through our own body, senses, observations, dreams, memories, synchronicities, or everyday surroundings.
go outside
the 3 of diamonds says “go outside,” and because it appears under no today, there are several ways that could show up.
“outside” can symbolize looking outside ourselves for an answer. in that sense, it connects with the possibility of external seeking that also appears through the magician card.
but it can also be completely literal.
maybe somebody woke up this morning with a feeling that they should stay home today. they do not know why. then they hear “go outside” sitting under no in a collective reading and recognize something they had already felt. maybe it is going to rain unexpectedly. maybe they are tired. maybe they simply need a quieter day. there can be countless reasons, and the reason will be different for different people.
another day, “go outside” could appear under yes and someone may understand it as an invitation to get grounded, put their feet on the earth, get some sun, get near water, take a walk, or simply leave the house.
this is why the same symbol can look completely different depending on the day, the person, and the energy surrounding it.
the number three
the number 3 appears directly in the reading, appears again as the 3 of diamonds, and there are also three items under yes and three cards under no.
for me, three connects with the trinity, but trinity can be represented through many different spiritual, religious, cultural, and symbolic systems. one person may think mind, body, spirit. someone else may think maiden, mother, crone. a christian may think father, son, holy spirit. another person may immediately think of three saints, three deities, three stages, three people, or another threefold relationship that already has meaning for them.
three is a powerful number across many traditions, but the particular trinity or threefold structure it represents may be personal to the person receiving the reading.
sometimes the number itself may simply be the thing that makes somebody stop and pay attention.
november and 10
the reading also includes november and the number 10.
when a month, weekday, date, or number appears in one of these readings, i do not automatically interpret it as a prediction that something is going to happen at that time. often these details can function as significators or recognition points.
someone watching may have a birthday on november 10. maybe their child does. maybe november is connected with an anniversary, death, move, marriage, trip, deadline, graduation, or something they have already been thinking about. maybe the number 10 has been repeating around them. maybe they live at number 10, were born on the 10th, or immediately associate ten with something specific.
november can also represent more than a calendar month. for some, it may bring up autumn, thanksgiving, changing seasons, shorter days, warmth, gathering, food, family, coziness, preparation for winter, or another personal memory or association.
the number 10 can also represent completion or wholeness in some systems, but it may just as easily be an age, date, address, quantity, score, or number someone keeps noticing. there is no need to turn it into a prediction simply because it appeared.
okay, so what are you now going to do about it?
the final question written into the field is “okay, so what are you now going to do about it?”
maybe somebody sees hunger and immediately recognizes something they have been ignoring. maybe rivers brings up emotion, direction, travel, a literal place, or a memory. maybe ancestry connects with something happening in a family. somebody else may only notice ears. someone may hear november and 10 and suddenly realize why they stayed with the reading.
there does not need to be one interpretation that everybody takes away from this. notice what caught your attention, what you felt before hearing my interpretation, what showed up in your body, what memory came forward, and what connections you made that i never mentioned.
read between the lines.

disclaimer + reminder
i do not typically need cards or tools to read energy. when i read for someone, i prefer to know as little about them as possible so that what i am picking up is not clouded by information, assumptions, stereotypes, or judgments that already exist in my own mind. i can read sitting on the beach, in traffic, in conversation, or anywhere else. right now i am intentionally using cards, drawings, colors, words, numbers, and other visual representations because doing something differently gets my creativity moving differently. these are representations of the energy, not the source of the reading.
before listening to any collective reading, including mine, i encourage people to check in with themselves first. what did you wake up feeling? what has been repeating in your mind? what songs have been following you? what conversations, synchronicities, physical sensations, dreams, words, or images have already been showing up? get your own impression before hearing someone else’s interpretation, then compare. that is one way to practice strengthening your own intuition rather than becoming dependent on someone else to interpret everything for you.
energy moves. something showing up under yes today may show up under no tomorrow. something that looks like a block this morning may become useful later. i often describe us as moving the way planets move. relationships change, conditions change, and the way we experience energy can change hour to hour and moment to moment. this reading is a visual snapshot of the collective energy coming through now. i am also not reading reversals.
